Father's Day Statement of Purpose
Today, on Father's Day, we gather to honor, celebrate, and give thanks for the men who have embraced the sacred calling of fatherhood in all of its forms.
We recognize and celebrate biological fathers, who have given life and sought to provide love, guidance, protection, and wisdom to their children. We honor bonus fathers and step into fathers, who choose to love, nurture, and invest in children, youth and young adults entrusted to their care. We celebrate grandfathers, whose legacy, experience, faith, and family traditions continue to shape future generations.
We also acknowledge godfathers, mentors, coaches, teachers, uncles, pastors, community leaders, and fathering influences who have stepped into the lives of others to offer encouragement, discipline, support, and direction. Many have fathered not by birth, but through their presence, sacrifice, and commitment to helping others grow and succeed.
Father's Day reminds us that fatherhood is more than a title, it is a responsibility, a ministry, and a gift. It is the willingness to stand in the gap, to lead with integrity, to love with compassion, to teach with patience, and to serve as an example for the next generation.
As a church family, we affirm the importance of godly men who model faith, character, courage, and servanthood. We celebrate those who have helped build strong families, healthy communities, and model faithful discipleship of Jesus Christ.
Today, we honor every man who has accepted the call to influence, nurture, protect, teach, encourage, and lead others toward their God-given purpose.
On this Father’s Day we affirm that: "We celebrate the fathers among us the biological fathers, bonus fathers, step into fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, foster fathers, uncles, mentors, and fathering influences. We thank God for your sacrifice, your wisdom, your example, your love and let us not forget your time, talent and treasure that you have shared and given away. May you continue to lead with faith, serve with humility, and deposit legacy that blesses generations to come." "A good father leaves more than an inheritance; he leaves a legacy of faith, character, concern, compassion and love."
Happy Father's Day to all who father by birth, by choice, by mentorship, and by influence. Your impact matters, and your legacy will live on.
